Step-by-step recipe for a Baked eggs with salmon and vegetable ragout

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 180°C. Cut the fish into 1x1 cm cubes, pour in olive oil and add lemon zest, then mix and set aside.

Step 2

Rinse the zucchini, then cut 4-6 thin slices lengthwise along the vegetable. Chop the remaining vegetables – destring the celery, and then dice all vegetables to the same size as the salmon.

Step 3

Add Knorr Spaghetti Bolognese to a pot, pour in 500 ml of water and bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Add vegetables and heat briefly. Remove from heat, then add the chopped fish and stir.

Step 4

Prepare single-serving baking dishes – place them on a baking sheet, grease each one with olive oil and line the edges with a zucchini slice. Put the prepared ragout into the dishes.

Step 5

Crack 1 egg into each bowl. Place the baking sheet in the oven preheated to 190°C and bake for 12-15 minutes. Serve the finished baked dishes sprinkled with, for example, chives, or basil or thyme leaves.

A nourishing choice for many

This dish appeals to those who appreciate light, yet substantial cuisine. Its abundance of quality ingredients makes it an excellent option for individuals focused on health and well-being. The protein from the salmon and eggs, combined with the fiber from the vegetables, promotes lasting satiety.

Elevating any occasion

Baked eggs with salmon and vegetable ragout develops into an upscale brunch centerpiece, an elegant appetizer for a dinner gathering, or a lighter weeknight meal. Presented in individual ramekins, its impressive appearance makes it a thoughtful selection for special moments when you aim to captivate your guests.

The nutritional advantage

Salmon offers more than just exceptional flavor; it’s a significant source of beneficial omega-3 fatty acids, which support cognitive and cardiovascular health. When paired with eggs, a source of complete protein, and micronutrient-rich vegetables, this dish provides remarkable nutritional value.

Creative culinary twists

Experiment with various vegetables to enhance the ragout – consider bell peppers in different hues, or add canned or fresh, peeled tomatoes. For a more pronounced flavor profile, infuse the dish with a touch of chili pepper. Serve alongside rustic whole-grain bread, perhaps with a light spread of fresh, tangy cheese, to create a complete and deeply satisfying meal.
